we are both using the Omega drivers, his omega is set to quality, mine to performance, making it even sadder. I am not using aa/af!
forget a 9800 pro or any new card, I should be matching his 48fps in 1600x1200 at minimum! I know the game is cpu bound, hes gonna run again with his cpu to stock xp2500 which should no doubt be slower than my tbred at 220fsb and 2.09GHz!
ok, he ran his barton at xp2500 now(1.83GHz)

not much of a fps loss. He just tried 640x480 and got the same fps, proving the game is cpu bound. I get 52fps in 640x480 but drop to 32fps at 1600x1200.

he is starting to take a hit at 1024x768 with his cpu at xp3200 speeds but at xp2500 speeds he gets 44fps reguardless of what resolution he runs at! Thats cause his card is capable of 48fps at high res and his xp2500 isnt! but an xp3200 is capable of 65fps. a barton at xp2600 speeds would reach equibrim with his ti4200. in my case, I start of at 52fps in 640x480 which is understandable, since my cpu is faster than a stock xp2500 barton but not as good as a stock xp3200 barton. I am about halfway in between. but I drop to 32fps in 1600x1200. This leds me to think there is something wrong gpu side. whats worse is my ti4200 is at 340/700 so I should not be losing more than a couple fps from 640x480 to 1600x1200. I dont have aa/af on but I will turn it on and see what happens :(

2x aa/af proving aa/af was not on. there could be something wrong with my ti4200 somewhere that doesnt affect 3dmark but affects some games. Perhaps a few bad transistors in the core? I clocked my ti4200 down to his 280/530 speed and my fps went down to 27! compare that to his 44fps at stock xp2500 speeds! I am gonna try my ti500 and see. If I match or beat my ti4200, thatll explain once and for all
