Well after some benching last night I almost broke 18k but I started having some crazy problems with the r9700. Anyway, I'm gonna break 18k for sure within this week if I can ever get these problems solved. Right now I'm at school but I figured I go ahead and publish my score even though I was gonna wait until I hit 18k. 1000 points increase from where I was yesterday when I started benching. Enjoy.

Oh still aircooled on the 9700. Gonna do some pelt action soon. NEed a new chip though to keep up.

Well there is a hope cause I still have to pelt the 9700. Also I still need to get a new chip. I'm hoping the new chip will be the extra bit that I need once the card is able to max out.

Looks like I will need to rebench this weekend.

Good job tightening it up.

Thanks FUGGER, I was having strange issues though. When I was fixing to change the OC a little more I was having problems with Powerstrip. If I set it to the OC I just got done using (397/343) or anything above 382 (core) it would clock me back to 382. Then after I reset it to defaults it still left me at 382/340. Then I uninstalled drivers and pwerstrip and it is still messed up.

Then to make sure the card was ok I put it in the AMD rig. It runs fine but if I clock to anything over 360 then it clocks me back to 320's. I don't understand. Does Powerstrip set you back to a clock on purpose or is it something wrong with my card. It was running fine all yesterday until I was going for the last 100 points at 18K. Then I had to stop benching cause I couldn't set the clocks to the right speeds or get them to the stock speeds. Think maybe its windows?

I have been dealing with the same bugs, rebooting after setting whatever Mhz it would let me helped.

Rage3D tweak 3.2 is kinda working, and has a preset for "3Dmark2001" for performance.

I mean while I in windows with no reboot the clock are stuck. I can move them but they just reset even though I don't reboot. Very strange. It also reads the default clocks as 382/340. I'm gonna reformat I guess.

give me a 9700 and some resisitors and ill brake 18k,. well maybe we'll see in 3 days when my 9700 arives and I do the volt/mod.. very nice there chong keep up the great scores for the team...

Well I still need to do the v-mod for the mem but since it messed up last night I haven't benched yet. I don't feel like doing a clean re-install of windows and stuff. Kinda lazy right now. I was on a roll and then it just started messing up. Very strange. I would have hit 18k until the strange stuff happened. I might just wait to do bench again (when I'm pelted on the gpu and get a new chip). Then that way I'll just go for it. I dunno though. I kinda like my money in my bank account rather than spending all of it. :(

but you vmodded the gpu right?? did opp do both the mem and gpu on his 9700? i know he did the core...how did it mess up? and is it ok would hate to see someone rma a card like that...

the problems are posted earlier in this thread. I modded the GPU. I think OPP did both cause his memory is OC'ed pretty high.

Very nice Chong, keep it up:)
I just did the core, the reason for my mem running high is because my chilled waterblock/pelt cools the whole card.

BTW: Whats up with the 2 different team names at the orb?? You should just be a solid Xtreme team member and not Bi :D

lol sorry about that. I run a 3dteam at a different forum but I can't not have Xtreme as it was my first. Also have you read in this thread the problem I was having?

nice going chong .... im having same issues with powerstrip but it sets core way back to default but leaves mem alone just done a clean install tonight and done same again .... got a life of its own .... hoping they do a newer revision soon still to do vmods yet though not got the resistors in stock where i get em from

For Powerstrip to move you have to crank up your mem at the same time as the core, I'm talking way up, after the core goes up then you can lower the mem.

Nice scores Chong...:)

I havnt benched too much as yet but I have played with the card and she is doing 380/340 default cooling and default goop. I havnt removed anything from the card as yet. The card gets hot quickly and produces wierd lines on the screen after about 30 mins then i have to reboot and downclock it to 335.

Gonan get some ramsinks and stuff tomorrow and play with her...:)

BENCH ON SUCKA :D:D
