the pin mod would be a lot easier...

I pin modded mine for 166 just like my old T-Bred that was in there. Not sure if it made a difference or not, I didn't try it without.

One thing that gets me thinking that it will not matter, is that the MB doesn't even know what the chip is. If I load defaults in the BIOS it pulls up a 6x Multiplier and 100 FSB, and a V-Core of 1.55v. None of that is right, so I don't know.

you don't need this with the infinity :)

I tried it with my tbreds and it got even worse in fsb oc...

NF7 was the only board needing it iirc

It was worse with the mod ?

I'd allready tied the pins on my chips, just chucked it straight in when, the infinity came. Maybe I should take it off.

Same here, SAE.

My good'ol Tbred chip FSB overclocks naturally and nicely without the L12 mod. The DFI board seems more "independent" in handling high FSBs. Not quite sensitive like what Abit NF7 series boards are. Abit NF7 boards are extremely picky you know what I am saying...

my 8rda+ 1.1 loves me for pin modding it.. went from 215 semi-stable to 235 100% stable :D

Need more vdd and vdimm now.. i'll get around to it instead of posting about it some day.. ;)

Thanks for the feedback guys :)

Did not think that the other older boards ;) would benefit from being L12 modded...

But the dfi infinity and lp b definately do not need it... That's a fact... :)
