I recommend against the AN50R for now unless you will be vmodding. If you must buy now, look into the asus/gigbyte/chaintech boards. The DFI infinity 250 should be amazing, but thats slightly down the road.

Temperory, then just get GB K8N.

You could also just get an ECS board if its temporary, only costs like 87 bucks.

i didnt think that board supported ddr 400 and the shuttle and the gigabyte are about the same price like 5 dollar difference.. comparison between the 2

Maybe. Just remember the K8T800 Pro and K8T890 are going to be out with all of the same goodies and maybe more. According to Via they're going to use seperate clock generaters for pci and agp so expect to see some nice overclocks on those as well. The A64 chipset wars are going to really heat up with the release of these two bad boys.

Damn dude, i just cant wait for the 250s are there any more details on the DFI board, there is nothing conclusive on thier website, other than, HEY we got this cool board for 64bit cpus coming out, its going to be ezzem! (awesome in a strange voice) i would really like to know voltages, and the like, but i guess i will just have to wait, and wait...
