Nvidia started to roll out the Android 7, Experience Upgrade 5.0.2 for Shield 2015 Android TV customers, and everything Nvidia promised for the 2017 console, will find its way to the previous one.

Six days ago, we said that the update will happen soon, and it did. Some of the most notable features include Amazon Prime, something that was missing from the 2015 console powered by the Tegra X1. The new application supports both 4K and HDR.

The Nvidia Games App unifies games from Android, Geforce Now subscription gaming or the GameStream Geforce powered PC.

Geforce Now has had a performance upgrade and all the server machines are now powered by Pascal GeForce GTX 1080 and when you check the game settings you can see that Nvidia cranked it up to Ultra detail level.

GameStream now streams in 4K HDR which means the supporting games will let you see the HDR features on your TV. There are currently a limited number of HDR supporting gaming monitors with more coming soon.

Shield experience brings new games including Mini Ninjas, Lumo, No Mans Sky and a few others as well as NEST camera app support. Let?s not forget a few more apps including NFL, Twitter, Comedy central, Vimeo, Viki. Android 7.0 Nougat gets a recent apps page. All you need to do is to double press the home button. The new software adds picture in picture support like in the ive channels and there is a new settings menu.
