I've got a stick of corsair pc3200 cl 2.5. I had it running on 220Mhz and mu cpu on 165Mhz fsb. my mem scores went up but my 3d mark score went down. actually it even seems logically to me. I think that the system bus formes a bottleneck. The ram has got a high bandwith but the data has got to wait becouse the systembus can't handle all the data due it's less bandwith.
or am I completely wrong? I want to compare it with a sink, if you
pour in some water with a gentle flow, it will flow away without raising the level of water in the sink but if you give it a little to much the water can't flow away as easy causing the waterlevel to raise in the sink.
