Well,
I'm not going to be in the running...can't figure out why with 3:22 left in the contest.
I've benched at...... (drum roll please) 372/263 ............
but am stuck at around 9000 with my 2.66/IC7/3.08 drivers...

Very impressive core o/c  . Maybe you have past the optimum clks for your cooling, mine starts dropping scores rapidly past a certain point, even with 3Dmark passing ok.

OK
That was fun...
I got 9110 at only 3453mHz @ 362/266, with phasechange and 4gHz and a 800fsb P4, I would have busted 10K easy, with room to spare. Wil be curious to see some of Mr Icee's driver hacks now that the contest is over. I'm SURE he lowered the LOD a LOT, lol...

Sorry Charlie;) No LOD hacks, but lotsa others that do the same as Rivatuner for nVidia cards. I've been handicapped in pure CPU and card power over the years....thats why I've had to teach myself high level tweaking over the years of benching 3DMark. I'd never be able to swap memory chips or be able to buy custom phase change or even have the latest, fastest CPU....but tweaking always kept me in the top 10.

What I did and experimented with with these drivers over an 8 hour period anyone could have done, just manually resetting functions via the registry that you couldn't otherwise, on the same page you reset the core/mem clocks adjustments higher.:)

Not just drivers, but there are many to be experimented with with the MB bios etc, fine tuning a MB,CPU, Ram and vid card is an art indeed. Anyone with pure high horsepower, high card clocks and the right drivers can go to the top. But try to get in the top 10 with alot less than everyone else, that is the challenge and one I practice at diligently. I do virtually no optimization of the OS and never have....there are more points to be found in the bios and drivers:)

DDTUNG is responsible for my "more from less" philosophy, he has been the guiding light from the beginning:)

Thank you DD:thumbsup:

Randi:D

Whatever the hacks, quite nicely done!!
