MIcrosoft's Xbox One has finally overtaken Sony's PS4 ? at least in British sales.
Historically the PS 4 has been ahead of the Xbox One ever since it has launched. The difference was believed to be bad because Redmond would never reveal how many it had sold.
According to the numbers provided by NPD beancounters, Microsoft had a really good July and over took the PS4 for the first time.
It is possible that the price cuts Microsoft introduced in July could have something to do with the surge of sales. Redmon recently said that it had noticed that the total gaming hours on Xbox consoles had gone up 18 percent worldwide. Apparenly more than 1.55 billion hours were wasted on the Xbox.
Another reason for the surge was the interest in the 2TB launch edition of the Xbox One S which sold out in the U.K. and is nearly sold out in the US.
