In the tradition of the SuperPi32m 5GHz & 4GHz Haswell All Out Challenge! (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?286315-SuperPi32m-5GHz-amp-4GHz-Haswell-All-Out-Challenge!), SuperPi32M 5GHz Ivy All Out Challenge! (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?280903-SuperPi32m-5Ghz-Ivy-All-Out-Challenge!) and the Super Pi 32M Low Clock Challenge (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?228269-Super-Pi-32M-Low-Clock-Challenge) this will be the new 5 GHz and 4 GHz challenge for Z97 Haswell and Haswell Refresh.

The rules are the same as for the Haswell competition.

1. Screenshot Requirements:

5 GHz +/- 3 MHz or 4 GHz +/- 3 MHz
Use Super Pi Mod v1.5
AIDA64 cache and memory benchmark - run this after sp32m for obvious reasons.
CPU-Z: CPU tab + memory tab + motherboard tab
Memory utilities: Asus MemtweakIt! or Gigabyte TweakLauncher or MSI Control Center, Asrock and Biostar

2. Ranking requirements (use following format):

Username - time(mm:ss:ms) - multi x blck - ramspeed(xxxx.yy) MHz - ram subtiming(tCL-tRCD-tRP-tRAS-tRFC-CR) - Motherboard model - ram info/chipset - vdimm - ram cooling
ZenEffect - 6:33.058 - 50x100 - 1333.8 MHz - 8-11-6-19-232-1 - Gigabyte UD5 - Kingston 2333 MHz 2x1GB/BBSE - 1.72v - stock air

Seriously, guys, why is a new thread necessary if evidence suggests that there seems to be no performance difference between Z87 and Z97 whatsoever? I mean, we didn't have to make a new thread when P35 was replaced by X38/X48, so why is this necessary now? :)

Using loud's results as a reference:

Sam,in some tests that Splave has done it looks like we could be seeing 100Mhz more memory speed out of Z97 compared to Z87

I'm happy either way what ever you guys want to do,as long as I can bench my memory its all good

Thanks for your time Don_Dan

Yes Calathea, +2c just one run on a completely untested retail 4790K.

The pot was just sitting on the heat spreaders, no TIM or anything. The k probe was wedged in between the spreader and the pcb to get a more accurate reading.

So its been 6 weeks without Ln2,finally received some ln2 today, testing a new 4790K was quite hard to dial this chip in,is so different to any 4770ks Ive tested
Did finally get a pass but was loosing a efficiency towards the end of the session, board seemed to get quite cold on in this session so im guessing some moisture somewhere.
Had a couple faster runs a little earlier that should have just cracked the 54.9xx,will keep trying

Don't know if that's the correct thread.
Also don't know how is my efficiency with this G3258, since there are not many 4GHz runs out there.

Screenshot lacks AIDA numbers, so it does not qualify, thus not writing the info in the correct format too.

All air, 1.92V for the mems - G.Skill 2000C9 Tridents, PSC-X.

Awesome runs Bully, glad to see the 125 strap working out for you as well.

The humidity down under looks intense right about now!

Don't think I have ever seen your rig so wet/frosted especially not the SATA ports or PCH heat sink :D

Thanks, loud
I can't run that tight and it seems I'm 1 second behind.
Anyway, it doesn't matter anymore since it seems my new cpu can't run 2666 and 2600 with PSC even with slack secondaries and tertiaries.
It's either the board or the IMC. I can't even run CAS 7 at 2400, while that's way too easy on Z77 + 3770K with these sticks :(

Wish I had any other brand board to try...

Not really, you normally try to avoid that hdd is involved in 32M, I also don?t use ram disk if I bench on time, which I didn?t on Haswell anyway

CW is much faster using SSD than HDD. So if you do it like 100 times per month and save 5 mins each time, it amounts to ~8 hrs of extra free time that you can use :D :D
Performance and stability-wise I see no difference at all having recently switched from HDDs to SSDs.

Agreed waza takes forever on mechanical, but I just have so many of them :p:

Will give ssd a try for waza and see if I can duplicate my times on a mechanical drive, thanks Sam

So between work and now school, I have gone on the longest vacation from benching due to lack of time and guess what? It sucks:p:

Decided to give the c6 Pi's another run at 5Ghz and after hours I finally managed a 2800 c6 run :yepp:

Checked off the list of :banana::banana::banana: to do

Started the night off good, besting my best time:

http://i.imgur.com/ycpMEMP.png (http://imgur.com/ycpMEMP)

Different waza yielded slightly better results:

http://i.imgur.com/ZZ8G5f3.png (http://imgur.com/ZZ8G5f3)

tightened trfc, small almost unnoticeable gain:

http://i.imgur.com/jE1rStd.png (http://imgur.com/jE1rStd)

. . .and then I tested every strap/bclk combo to find out what would run and after hours of fail, I realized this kit can not run TRAS 21 at 2800+ and nothing over 2809 ever passed much less even trained.

And crazy RTL Alex, no other board can run Samsung at symmetrical RTL's like the baby Impact.

nXXo I guess the pot was full of LN2 the whole time, but max dimm temps were -136c warming up to -125c by the end of a 32M run, maybe time to start applying TIM on the heat spreaders in between the pot.

And Allen, you are too damn fast lol

Long time no see! Finally getting back to testing again :)
A hair under 300ms behind PB with the older hardware, suspect bios (which is 2.00, not 1.80) or just 4790K is the cause for the time penalty :(
Really hope it isn't the latter, because I have a much stronger chip and would like to use it for screens here.
Not sure if core or IMC but these core clocks are not stable through Aida mem bandwidth tests :/

It's been a while, y'all! Good to be back! Been having a lot of hardware struggles over the past year or so. Finally found a reliable motherboard/CPU/mem pairing. Had to recreate and retune my OS to beat my PB from a while ago. If anyone needs a copy of it for testing, feel free to shoot me a message wherever you know me :)
Found a QE6S from China, already seems good without delid. It'll pass with lower volts but I didn't minimize for reliability's sake. Hoping that I can get one of my CPUs to do 50/50 on air, though I think that'll need a 4790k I haven't posted here yet.
Scores still seem kinda inconsistent, especially with anything other than this Samsung profile. I'll get it figured out though, I have a metric ton of memory to bin.

Crazy that C-N was doing .375 with settings similar to this, wonder what I'm missing. Had some runs that looked like they'd be .7xx-.6xx. Also had some 2900 runs about halfway through that probably would've been .4xx, got more instability beyond 2.17vdimm.
Base clock fluctuation is annoying. I need to set 99.9 to get 100, 102 to get 102.1, and it still fluctuates down.
