AMD64 thermal paste application

Well i just setup my AMD64 3000+ with AN50R board and was wondering what method of thermal paste application you guys using ?

1. ceramique/AS5 method of a blob in the middle and use heatsink to flatten the paste out

or

2. cover entire heatspreader with thermal paste ?

i take the tube of thermal piast and put enough to cover the DIE..or the HS..and then i use my finger to spred it all over the erea and then i put the evap.or heat sink on.realy easy and quick.
work's on most cpu's...;)

Trhen you lick the excess paste and dinner is served.
