Hello

Last time I've repaired 3 units :

-small LD unit based on NL11F
-Mach 2 GT in custom alu-frame housing
-"big" LD unit based on rotary.

All units from one Denmark owner. Owner of units supply me some parts needed for mods + I make new suction lines with new evaps.

Owner do not want any visual mods of units, just to make them working again.

BIG SS:
-new 110cm long suction line by me , evaporator 54mm
-mounting second conder (supplied by owner of unit)
-chaning compressor to brand new LG 14.3k BTU
-R507

Prometeia Mach 2 GT:
-changing suction line to new, 42mm evaporator
-R507
-new pipes and drier

Small LD unit:
-new suction line by me,42mm evaporator
-R507
-new drier

Rotary compressor from big LD unit have been "dead" as owner said before work, but I have checked it and it work fine :yepp::p:.

So I make 4th unit basing on that compressor + black ECO condenser supplied by owner + one of old LD's suction line (check it for leaks + redone insulation). Those will be new GPU unit :).

Final results (unloaded and loaded temperatures) :

No it is not acording to LG it is a 14.300 btu i have the datasheet pdf on my pc somewhere from LG

I have looked around on different lg sites and some have it as a 14.300-14.400btu and some have at 16.800-17.000btu weird?

I attached the datasheet, have a look.

it is 100% 17K btu compressor:)

LG NJ236PAD (14,3k btu) has same datasheet specs compared with Moc datasheet for NJ282PAD :) lg mistake
take a look

The BTU rating depends on the evap temperature plus quit a few other parameters. But one diagram above shows -10c to 12c. evaporating temp, that's 22 degrees c. of swing ,that right there changes the BTU rating for the same compressor.

Yeah nachtfalk, I checked another LG pdf an your right :) . Und wo ich sehe das du aus Deutschland kommst, bist du auf extremecooling angemeldet? Falls ja dann verrat mir doch dein Usernamen dort ^^ .
@walt
Yeah, displacement is a much better value for comparison.

riska . Lynmazda and me "gorgy_dk" met Saturday
for testing and do the last little things that we persuaded Peter to make ourself.

first test if they had survived the transport from Poland to Denmark ok.

"big" LD unit based on rotary.

Mach 2 GT in custom alu-frame housing with much bigger condensor.
4th unit basing on that compressor + black ECO condenser supplied by riska + one of old LD's suction line.

http://imageshack.us/a/img849/2291/x7hz.jpg

we started to make the finishing touch on the small LD unit based on NL11F

http://imageshack.us/a/img41/8820/dajn.jpg

opning the unit up to mount LED Displays and new probe inside the suction line

LED display with PT100 probe 12V 12$ at EBay
not as accurate and fine as the measuring probes Peter had mounted but they are also just to see if the unite is cold enough to start up the system.

http://imageshack.us/a/img203/2528/8q38.jpg

we also mounted transport handle from kitchen doors.

http://imageshack.us/a/img843/5467/gupv.jpg

a small power supply from 220v to 12v 2A are significantly designed to tow LED strips "8$ on Ebay"

http://imageshack.us/a/img689/5204/i3r3.jpg
http://imageshack.us/a/img542/7465/8d6r.jpg

we glued insulation joints with liquid tape to make it stronger.

http://imageshack.us/a/img854/8392/jh1g.jpg
http://imageshack.us/a/img198/5017/kl64.JPG
http://imageshack.us/a/img716/2202/vql9.jpg

we have tested all SS units with standard temp gauges and all the temprature as Peter also had stated
but as you can see is the $ 12 meters is not quite so accurate it shows approx. - 2 gradre less

http://imageshack.us/a/img22/6690/9rhl.jpg

put it up to the reality test

http://imageshack.us/a/img856/8782/7ee2.jpg
http://imageshack.us/a/img818/2494/j2l4.jpg

Asus p67 sandybrigde 2700K 5480 mhz 1.6V
3 degrees of difference between desktop and in 3D 06 CPU test full load ...... Nice !!!

then it's time for Coffee

Today's next project Mach 2 GT in custom alu-frame housing

Peter started the time with something shiny red stuf from me

we take the shiny red stuf a littel further

1 mm aluminum front panel mounted with double sided tape

http://imageshack.us/a/img266/5643/z2j2.jpg

1 mm aluminum top plate with bonded 10mm PVC plate that fits inside the frame to avoid resonans

http://imageshack.us/a/img708/3386/xi1z.jpg

we used a 51 mm hole saw to drill out for the Evap

http://imageshack.us/a/img833/5998/3gi2.jpg

in the front we have installed 2x Led Display 1 to Evab and 1 For compressor + adjustable 220V power to the front fan.

http://imageshack.us/a/img811/9442/83ix.jpg

The prope on the Led display for Evab is - 6 degree lower than Peters Prope mount but I Know - 34.2 is actually - 40.2 Degree

we mounted transport handle from kitchen doors

http://imageshack.us/a/img513/5741/51zx.jpg

and the same 12V power supply to the Led display and here we mounted Also Led Strips in the frame

rear view here we mounted on off to Led strips
and we have on off mounted just above the line to the SS unite

http://imageshack.us/a/img7/1398/3lrx.jpg
http://imageshack.us/a/img209/4333/nzwc.jpg

The side panels are made of 3 mm milky white Plexiglas

http://imageshack.us/a/img51/6954/rnkr.jpg

my camara does not like to take pictures of red Led the lights too bright but here is a fairly image edges are red in reality the question they do not light up white

http://imageshack.us/a/img842/911/ixsq.jpg

The final shot

http://imageshack.us/a/img826/9865/ttq6.jpg

And ready for Benching ;-)

man... how much does it cost to make a unit like this?

Riska
10-27-2013, 12:47 PM
It depends on wich unit you want?

and if the unit should be all new or an old one refurbished.

Ace123
10-29-2013, 08:13 PM
I would want one that just plain works, I dont care what it looks like or the age of the components as long as it functions correctly.

Give piotres a mail and he will have prices for you they are not wildly expensive
