So I setup Linux Mint 14 Cinnamon on a 80Gb hard drive for use on my new used MacPro workstation equipped with a Intel W3520 CPU, 6Gb of Hynix RAM (3x2Gb) DDR 1066Mhz, and AMD Radeon 4870 video card. Unfortunately, when I started doing crunching using Linux Mint 14 on the MacPro, CPU core temps quickly reached the low to mid 90's Celsius when 100% CPU load was achieved. Is there a good workaround or fan control program in Ubuntu or Linux Mint 14 that is compatible with the MacPro fan setup?
