Does anyone know of a compatible chipset waterblock for the Z87 chip? I'll have a loop going through the MOSFET already, thanks to the built-in block.

Thanks!

ekwb has EK-FB KIT GA Z87X-OC kit (http://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-fb-kit-ga-z87x-oc-acetal.htm), you might shoot them an e-mail about buying only chipset block (I couldn't find that chipst block sold as separate unit on their site). I'm sure some other generic chipset blocks from other manufacturers should fit too. The biggest issue for you may be that the armor thing will get in the way ...

Thanks. I'll have the board early next week, so I can take some measurements. Hopefully I can fit a universal chipset block on it, and not mess around too much with the armor. I'll take pictures if I make any modifications during the install.

Do you plan on using the VRM block? Be aware that it is made of aluminum and there is a good chance it will cause corrosion in your loop if you do not run an anti-corrosion additive.

I plan on using it with a universal block until someone like EK comes out with a full board kit. I'll definitely use the proper additives. I'll ask around here before I do anything.

I got a response from EK. They plan on releasing a full board kit in October. Looks like I'll be getting that, instead.

Since when is the VRM block made of aluminum? The one that comes on the formula V is copper from what I remember. If they went to aluminum that's a huge mistake.

Unfortunately they definitely used aluminum this time around. You think they would have known that isn't something you can cut corners on.

I received email from EK last night that the Impact full cover block will be ready in 14 days or less.

No word from Bitspower when theirs will be ready, both look great and I'll be buying first available!
