Hey guys. We would like your feedback on our new Mini-ITX prototype - PC-Q33. There are some pics below but the major feature sets include a hinged front panel allowing easy access to the internal components (this makes it easier to work with M-ITX). The PC-Q33 also does support 120mm radiators, standard sized PSUs and a pretty good number of hard drives considering it is M-ITX.

Wow, this case is really nice, while still beinf SFF at 19L and still allowing for a CLC or well sized heatsink. Only thing i would like to be added is a removable dust filter for the PSU.

You really outdid yourself this time, I think this shall be my next case.

Wow. Now that is a nice mini-ITX case. I will definitely be buying this (if it goes to market) when I do an ITX build in the near future.

That could definitely happen. :)

I like the innovative front cover, that's pretty cool.

I would like to see 2 versions of this case. This one and an "L" version (long) that can support a full length GPU or even just a front mounted 240mm radiator (with fans, possibly enough room for a push pull config) at the front.

Hexus posted up about this case, and there were a couple of suggestions by some readers.

Does anybody have some comments about their suggestions?

Love the hinge! Since there's no front 5.25 I say go completely nuts - mount the motherboard at the top of the front panel with the video card exhaust & 120 venting up (something like the Silverstone RV-01) & shift the power supply so you can fit a longer video card in it. Maybe the physics won't quite work out, but it looks totally amazing in my head!!!

I love it!

holds normal heatsink and its small!

I think the addition of an intake fan on the front panel would take away a lot from the elegant look it has.

I think the front fold down is a better idea than a whole giant slide in section that goes in the back. But like that user said I could see how the case could develop an issue with the screws on the sides if a person were to be opening and closing the case often. I dont think it should be a big issue for most though because you shouldnt be changing out hardware a lot in a case like this in the first place. If you want a setup like this with the plan to swap stuff out all the time then the person should buy a bench tower, not this. The removable slide in HDD rack that could fit into a backplane would be a pretty good idea, but it would not work well if someone decides to use 2x 2.5" SSDs instead of 1 x 3.5" HDD, it would cause a lot of issues unless you provided multiple backplanes the user has to swap between for their setup. That just seems like too much complication for both Lian-Li to manufacture and the end user to deal with.

Looks great, except for the parts that are not anodized.

This is exactly the case I was looking for, for my grove htpc cruncher

From Hexus, I agree:
- that that LED fans need to go.
- Air filters everywhere
- a slim ODD bay below the MB, BUT it should have a permanent screw down "blanking" plate that mounts like the optional top fan blanking plate on other cases.

I would also like to see:
- an optional drive cage and and power supply hole blanking plate so I can mount more drives there and use an external power brick
- and optional drive cage that mounts above the motherboard so I can use drives there instead of a graphics card.

Or
Mount the motherboard upside down at the top. That way the fan exhausts both compartments AND leaves a nice open space to stack op optional hard drives.

Yes, I like to pack many hard drives in small cases for home media servers.

Thanks for your input. Just so you know we usually don't put LED fans stock in our cases (PC-Q08 aside). :)

My A77fb came with blue led, and I had to purchase non led variants made by you guys cuz led fans drive me crazy

As we are still tinkering with it, we still don't have a release date on it. :)

Perfect! I have been looking for months for something EXACTLY like this. Fantastic use of space. Most of the very small cases force me to give up on cooling performance, but it looks like I'll be able to use a fill size CPU cooling tower OR a single fan AIO water loop. I love how you have the cutouts on the back 120mm fan that connect with the water tubing pass-throughs. Great way to use one of those AIO loops and keep the radiator outside to give back a bit of that precious space.

And the hinge is great. Its basically your PC-Q06 minus the outdated optical drive bay and better hard drive placement, all while keeping the system enclosed. Nicely done. I can guarantee at least my purchase.

We have yet to release it to the European and NA market. Don't have a concrete release date yet.

I am so excited for this case. I wish this was out when I bought my PC-Q11 a couple of years ago. The Lian-Li website now indicates a release date of January, 2014.

How about in North America? Is it going to be in channel soon? I have been wanting to buy in black for 2 months now.
