Hey guys,

We are thinking about putting into production an aftermarket case for the Intel NUC Rend Lake D53427RKE motherboard (http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/motherboards/desktop-motherboards/desktop-board-d53427rke.html).

This is not our first foray into the NUC cases, as we designed the PC-N1 case for the DC3217IYE (pic below), but we never put it into production.

However, we are more seriously considering putting into production an aftermarket case for the D53427RKE. And we would like your thoughts on it. See the pics below:

Also, right now we are thinking about making it in silver and black. Any other color preferences?

It looks very nice. Well designed, well made and well photographed, all that. That said, I would only buy a nuc or similar for cost reasons and buying a case to go along with a "cheap" box just doesn't make sense.

As said above, I do not see it having a huge market for most people, especially someone buying the NUC, I imagine there would be a few people out there wanting a nice looking case, but again they are going to be a rare case and this is just me thinking from a business standpoint.

But it does look very nice as usual.

Nice case, though I would prefer one that is designed for passive cooling, even if it cost more.

if the nuc comes down in price, i would really like to have one, they are just a little too expensive for what they are currently..

i love the case! i would find a reason to buy any lianli case!

The case doesn't add any fans. The fan you see in the picture is the CPU cooler. :)

I think everyone already knows that, what is needed is a passive block/sink built into the case

Exactly. Small fans tend to buzz, whine and/or clog and fail over time.
Make the whole case a passive heat sink, please.
