I tried a couple which are really high viscosity. Is there a brand out there with lower viscosity that is easier to apply?

magmum is the best value with the most rubber per $.

Art store knead rubber is the best, prismacolor or sandford brand that is grey color. Got hardware store HVAC condensation stuff and it was a huge brick that extremely hard and sticky (no pun intended). Darker it is usually harder it is.

Anyone else read this thread as "Trojan, Lifestyle, and Magnum"?

I'm sorry, I got sidetracked.. what kind of rubber were we talking about again? :P

This is the brand I use. It's pretty work able stuff and if you need to just pop it in the microwave for 15-20 seconds before you apply it to the motherboard.

I'd much prefer vaseline instead of rubber. (lol we're still talking of insulation methods mind you). The problem with kneaded rubber is that it have too high thermal conductivity, I've had several problems with it that was solved when removing it. For example Crosshair III F where the pwm chip would get too cold and make the mobo unstable past -100.
