I have the Sennheiser HD-280's and they are awesome. And every part on them is user-replaceable according to sennheiser.

I would contact Sennheiser as they probably are warrantied

I'm using Optimus Pro 100 wireless headphones now.. Sennheiser decided to be :banana: :banana: :banana: :banana:s with me about the headphones, so I returned them to the store (which would only give me in-store credit, of course and wouldnt replace them either)....
