I just got the newest detonators, and I installed Coolbits 40.41, and I really like it. However, even if I enable fastwrites in the BIOS, I can't enable them in the driver, and I can't enable sideband addressing either. I tried RivaTuner, and it wouldn't do it either. Any ideas?

I'm running an MSI Ti500, on an AT7-MAX.

Oh, and does anyone know what the 2D command buffer caching does? Any effect on 3Dmark?

Ive always been under the impression that Fastwrites and Sideband is bad so I disable it asap after installing vid card drivers. I get the occasional infinite loop error if I have either installed.

They are bad? I've always kept agp fastwrites on in my bios. I thought, ya know.. "fast" in "fastwrites" is good... cus fast is good! Fear my preschooler logic.

Fastwrites are disabled due to stability issues by nVIDIA's driver I think. But they do add speed as far as I know.

They do add speed , but i was never able to run them on my GF3.

They do add speed, but the performence gain is minimal, compared to the instability it added.

Hmmm, I'll try it on and off then. Maybe I can get some more FSB out of my comp. then.
