Hi all,

Just saving for my new Haswell plus gtx 770 or 780 already have this excellent case the space is just great for WC and a "huge" space behind the motherboard:

http://www.cubitek.com/products/magic-cube

Next was doing research for compression fittings i decided to go with Koolance 3/8 - 5/8 black compression fitting i ordered just one together with the case the good thing about the fitting it take effort to slide the tube on the barb and the looks. But when i looked at the INNER bard (where the water passes) i see 2 stripes NOT covered by black paint i can clearly see the bare metal one stripe is opposite from the other clearly a mechanical error perhaps? Anyway is this common with these fittings because it might chip the paint even further when water flows through it....Otherwise il go with Swiftech black compression fittings are these good? Comming from Enzotech compression fitting in my previous build but they dont have 45 degree fittings and are pricey (so yeah i got experience with watercooling).

Next question regarding Tygon R6012 Norprene Black these are "supposed" to have no plastisizer build up even the EK company can confirm that...

http://www.ekwb.com/shop/blocks/professional-solutions/vga-blocks/ek-fctk20.html

"PLEASE NOTE:
- EKWB recommends the use of Tygon Norprene R6012 tubing for trouble-free (no plasticizer leakage), low maintainance systems. This industry grade tubing is the only solution for long lasting water cooling systems."

Do some of you have used this type of tygon tubing and does it promise no plastisizer build up?

What should i do if i use nickel based waterblocks for the cpu and gpu put a "silver killcoil" in the loop or is this a big no no? Some companies are against using silver kill coils with WC systems using nickel plated blocks...If this is correct what should be used im planning for just simple distilled water, no sunlight (black tubing) no window i do still need something to fight possible organic build up thats not stressing the blocks nor tubing any advise would be great full.

Final question was thinking about ordering this pump:

http://www.alphacool.com/product_info.php/info/p845_Alphacool-VPP655---G1-4-IG-incl--Attachment.html

The idea is to vertical mount is this ok? as shown here:

http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/6703/img0629dx9.jpg

I understand that the inlet of the pump should not use a 90" degree fitting due to the restrictiveness however i wonder if its ok to use a 45" degree fitting on the OUTLET of the pump?

Some help is appreciated thanks.

I've been using Norprene for some nine months. So far I haven't disassembled my rig but I can't see any plasticizer in the depot.
I'm happy with the result but bending it was a pain in the ass.

Oh and I'm not using any kill coil or nuke, just distilled water. No algae so far.

Thanks for the information, do you have a clear reservoir meaning the water contained in it is clear? Yeah i was wondering if one uses black tygon as the one i mentioned there would be no need for nuke or a kill coil specially when one is not using a window but i need more information as in conformations...

Yes I have a Koolance reservoir with a a clear window and I can't see any plasticizer, algae or any other funny invader.

I cleaned with a piece of cloth and it brought even more electrostatic dust  Well you can see clear water there.
This is how Norprene looks:

I hope it helps.

The person who uses no biocide will have stuff grow eventually. These little things that grow, some don't need light.

You'll be fine with a killcoil and EK blocks. Please use a biocide of some sort.

Thx for the reply good to hear you have no visible gunk/plastisizer in your res.

I realy like the "industrial" look of your tubing exactly the way i wanted as well do you have more pictures of your loop/pc?, does it bend well the tubing (tight corners)?

What biocide of some sort should be used that is not stressfull on either the Norprene tubing as wel as the blocks?

I use a silver coil as biocide with distilled water. That's all. Norprene bends well provided you get it with 1/8" (~3mm) wall thickness.

I'm posting more pics of my build here:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?286317-My-CM-Sniper-heavy-modded-including-a-fully-internal-360-rad.

Regarding algae etc, Conundrum is right. Algae and other funny stuff will eventually grow in any build if you don't take proper measures. However, the annual maintenance stop should be enough to clean all parts and avoid algae. My rig has laster for 9 months with no invaders, and in fact the distilled water carafes I used have been open and exposed to the atmosphere all this nine monts and are still clean despite being stored at the toilet room (no lights, not moving for 9 months etc).

Thx for the pics,

Are you still using tygon norprene the reason i ask is i cant see the white labeling on the tubes did you removed them if so how?

Do what the manufacturers recommend and use an anti corrosive agent in the water, it protects all the blocks and also has biocidal properties. Then you don't need to add another metal in the form of silver.

How long is PT Nuke good for on the shelf? I have a bottle that is at least six years old.
