My brother-in-law has asked me to build him a gaming rig and gave me a budget of $2000. He's currently was sharing a PC with his wife, but now wants his own, so I need to get everything. The last PC I build was almost a year ago, so just trying to see if I missed anything new or any parts I picked are bad. Thanks in advance!

First recommendation:
Use PC Part Picker to track lowest prices for your build.
Your RAM is cheaper on Newegg (only thing I price checked)

I like the RAM (though I run lower latency)
Processor I have no opinion on (I have a 2600k clocked to 4.8 that is still going strong).
If you're going to only have 1 GPU, get a GTX680. You can find them for the same price as that GTX670.

Don't get the WD Raptor, get a SSD (personal opinion, but I haven't looked back since I got my Vector).

I would not use a Clock Work Hard Drive in your build, better to go with something like a Samsung 840 Series 250GB at $170 USD. Or the 840 Pro 128GB for $145 USD if you can not stretch to the Pro 256 and use a 2TB for your Data.

I am sure other people will comment on other SSD Brands but regardless even a mid range SSD will make such a difference compared to VelociRaptor which is fast, but not fast enough compared to a SSD.
