Hey Guys...
Just got a Maximus V Formula and a Lsi 9261-8i card and have the same issue. Bios is 1604 on the M5F.

I did get into the web bios for the first time when i had just plugged in the card with 4 new hard drives. After setting up a raid 5 array i rebooted . Ever since that first time i cannot for the life of me get in to Web Bios.

It says something like web bios will start after reboot when i hit ctrl+h but nothing happens. I cant seem to figure out the Ctrl +h and then right after F8 method that Nodens on the ROG forums has described.

If i disconnect all my drives from the Lsi 9261-8i then i can enter web bios cause it gives me the error of not having any drives plugged in.

I tried everything that was mentioned in a bunch of old threads here disabling all boot drives , changing everything in CSM to oprom but i still cant get into web bios :(

Any help in this regard will he really appreciated guys.. Im close to pulling my hair out.
Please advice on what to do guys .. I just cant seem to get into web bios.

Thank you tons in advance guys..

Cheers and kind regards ! :)

------EDIT--------- * Solved *

inspite of the manufacturing date being 2012 the card shipped with firmware dated sept 2010 !. This was not compatible with UEFI and hence web bios was not starting.
The card failed to upgrade to latest firmware straight away. So i had to upgrade it in a stepped incremental manner and after trial and error i figured that i had to flash it with a older bios before i can flash it to the latest bios. Finally Firmware dated 4th april 2011 flashed perfectly and worked very well after which i was able to flash to the latest firmware. Web bios now comes up every time after reboot when called for using Ctrl+H. CSM settings on the board were as default.

Have you tried:

Boot
Press 'Del' for bios
Press 'CTRL+H' at LSI splash screen
In the 'UEFI BIOS' boot drive list choose the LSI controller it will be called something else.

Some BIOS's don't allow entry into webbios directly and you need to choose the boot device manually.

If you are booting in UEFI mode then the LSI BIOS won't load and you won't be able to get to the web-bios.
