I have PC-parts on it's way including a Lian-Li PC-A05FNB and Gigabyte HD7970 OC 3GB.

Max length for a grafic card in this chassi is 280mm but the HD7970 are 285mm.

I checked some configurations via Google pictures, it could work out by not using the lowest hard drive space or do I jumping to the wrong conclusion?

Hi HWaddict,

A 285mm card will not fit in the PC-A05FN unless you take off the hard drive cage. You can take it off with screws, but then you lose a lot of storage capabilities.

Thanks for the answer Lian-Li Tech.

It's just 5mm, so on Friday 18 Januari when I have the parts in my hands a modification maybe required.
This is the third Lian-Li case I own after 602B & V1000.

Good luck on your modding then. :) Would love to see some pictures after the fact.

BTW, can I ask why you choose the PC-A05FN? Were you looking for a small form factor ATX case?

Yes, my current workstation use Cooler Master HAF 932 witch is huge.

Lian-Li PC-A05FN could be placed next to the monitor.
With AMD FX-8350, Corsair Vengeance LP 16GB PC-15000 RAM and Gigabyte HD7970 OC 3GB it could be twice as fast!

It is not tidy but I found a solution.

Simply use angled SATA connections for the 1st & 2nd drive.
About 2mm free between the HD7970 and Harddrives.

This is taken by a cheap webcam so I hope you can recognize anything in them.
