View Full Version : LSI Megaraid 9260 + 2x Intel 520 180gb poor 4k-64thrd and 4k as ssd result

hi!

I just set up a new system with a Lsi Megaraid 9260-8i and a pair of Intel 520 180g ssd drive in raid 0.
Specs.. Raid stripe size 128k .. cache enabled cached io read ahead and write back enabled.. i have decent result in ssd for Seq .. 1046 Read and 505 Write .. but 4k-64thrd result are really low.. somthing like 303 read and 110 write.... any suggestion

a AS SSD screen...

For SSDs:
Read Ahead = off
IO = Direct (not cached)
Write back = enabled.
Drive cache = disabled

Make sure you've secure erased the SSDs first, you'll need to do this on the Mobo SATA ports
Also after setting RAID reboot
Seems to work best for benchies.

Consider a 64k stripe size.

yes, 64 or 32 is best. Also Fastpath if your a nut :)

Faspath always better than GardenPath to be led down :D
