I decided to put the SandForce firmware 5.0.4 that corrects TRIM for all manufacturers here.

Kingston and Corsair are on 5.0.3:
Corsair: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=110257
Kingston: http://www.kingston.com/us/support/technical/downloads?product=SH103S3&filename=SH103_503fw_win

Mushkin just released 5.0.4:

BiWin 5.0.4:

OCZ on 2.25, based on series 5 firmware from SandForce:

I'm now waiting for Sandisk.
That's the big one.

They've been completely mum on this issue.

A lot of the big SSD companies intentionally skipped 5.0.3 cuz 5.0.4 was in testing at the time when .3 was released. They'll be releasing an update soon I'm pretty sure...this is what they were waiting for.

RyderOCZ told me that FW 2.25 is coming, which is based on 5.0.4

Look for SanDisk after the first week of October. 5.0.5 goes to manufactures then, at least that is the last I heard about it...three days ago.

Also, they haven't really been mum about it. They did send that great looking guy from TweakTown a drive with 503 loaded on it.

Biwin has 504 on their support page.

CoreRise has 504 when using their web updater (it pulls the latest FW from their server which is really cool).

Hmmm, to update my RAID 0 array of Wildfire drives and move to them over to Intel RAID (4x120GB in RAID 0 on an LSI 9265)?

Anyhow, Transcend also has 5.0.4. I'm writing up the SSD720 and SSD320 right now. The 720 is kind of a bad ass with RAISE free programing and SanDisk 24nm flash.

SK Hynix has 504 as well but I think it is only on the South Korean site.

Damn,i want a versus between 5.0.5,5.0.4 and older 3.x firmware...Is there any versus around,of course, applied to the same drive?

My mushkin drives are not scene by the update program because they are in raid0 anyway around this besides the obvious...

ADATA has been dragging their balls on 503 and 504. There are even people inside the company raising hell about it.

The 720 is kind of a bad ass with RAISE free programing and SanDisk 24nm flash.

Sounds familiar. Intel is doing the same with their 120, 180 and 240gb (afaik) whilst maintaining a 5yr warranty vs 3yr for SanDisk. This is probably due to Intel using their top binned nand. Too bad IMFT isn't churning out their own toggle...it'd be interesting to see how cherry picked toggle modules would perform.

I doubt Intel will be updating the 400i fw to incorporate the 'new' 503/504 fw since 505 is now in the works...

lol seems so, i couldnt update my drives to latest 5.02a as they fail to update, at first it was wrong the flash at their site i reported passed weeks then they put the correct model for my SX900's but wont update i dont really want to erase my SSD's that are part of a RAID0 to see if is that...it should work either way like on intel, but no go, reported this and a month and no reply at all

FW 2.25 on OCZ now available. Not much changes:
Issues resolved since version 2.22:

• Fixed the normalized value calculation for SMART Attribute 9 (Power-On Hours)

• Fixed a SATA error recovery sequence coming out of PS1

• Fixed an issue during SMART self-test extended that could cause an unexpected read error

I found info from the tweaktown (http://forums.sandisk.com/t5/SanDisk-Extreme-SSD/Email-Exchange-My-Cousin-Had-With-Chris-Ramseyer-Tweaktown/td-p/284608) guy.

FW 5.0.3 was not WHQL certified, that's why 5.0.4 was needed.

FW 5.0.5 adds new Nand support and may give a little performance boost.

Anyone got any news on a firmware for A-Ram SSD , im pretty sure there based on the same sandforce chip. I have a mate that has one , lol

Let me expand on this a bit. There is WHQL for Win 7 and Win 8. Win 8 is going to be a pain in the ass for all SSD markets because they pulled the TRIM response time in from 70ms to an unknown by me at this time number. I just know it is a shorter window.

Also, I just got my hands on 5.0.5 but it's for an async drive so I won't be able to tell what's going on till I get it for a proper SSD. It's a good start though.

mk...something just caught my eye in the rls notes on the d/l page...

The Intel® Solid-State Drive Toolbox (Intel® SSD Toolbox) is drive management software that allows you to:
* View current drive information for Intel® Solid-State Drives (Intel® SSDs), including:
- Model number, capacity, and firmware version
- Drive health
- Estimated drive life remaining
- SMART attributes (also available for hard disk drives and non-Intel SSDs)
- IDENTIFY DEVICE information (also available for hard disk drives and non-Intel SSDs)
* Optimize the performance of an Intel SSD using Trim functionality
* Optimize the performance of an Intel SSD in RAID 0 using Trim functionality Intel RST 11.0 or greater
* Obtain proactive notifications of new Intel SSD Toolbox software versions for Windows* 7 and Windows* 8 systems
* Update the firmware on a supported Intel SSD
* Run quick and full diagnostic scans to test the read and write functionality of an Intel SSD
* Check and tune your system settings for optimal Intel SSD performance, power efficiency, and endurance
* View your system information and hardware configuration, such as central processing unit (CPU),
chipset, controller name, and driver versions
* Run Secure Erase on a secondary Intel SSD

Does this mean that if your raid0 array uses Intel drives then you can manually trim (optimize) requiring only RST 11+ and not the Z77 chipset? That's gonna make me rethink my future SSD plans if I can just buy another 520 and have R0 trim without having to upgrade to a Z77 mobo. That would be money better spent towards the all sata 6gb/s northbridge goodness of next years Z87/Haswell platform. Decisions decisions...
