Ok guys,

Just got my first SSD Drive and I would like to know what the consensus is around here when it comes to which driver is better to utilize with a fresh Windows 7 pRO 64 BIT install on a INTEL 520 180GB SSD.

Should I use the default Windows AHCI Driver or the Latest Intel RST AHCI Driver during the Windows 7 install??? Please help a fella out and post up what your opinions are will be doing the Windows 7 Load tomorrow.

Thank you as always

Cheers

I do not see why there should be much of a difference while installing.
Both driver support TRIM and besides small differences in performance they should behave equally.

To be on the safe side take Intel RST if you want to use it in the end anyway.
