nice didn't know you're writing for tweaktown too now

wonder how much more performance there is to gain with 30 or 40% over provisioning ?

as a rule of thumb, there usually is a scaling 'wall' at 47% of OP, and that does include the spare area that is on the SSD already. I have actually left thessdreview, and luckily nailed a job at TweakTown :)

to be honest i have seen higher performance percentage gains with OP on some other SSDs, so it depends upon controllers as well.

Comp, any way to test it against Fusion IO? I would suggest to add comparison to other enterprise PCIe solutions or even OCZ Z-Drive...

Paul writing for TT? What is this trickery!

No trickery here :) Just picking up some of the enterprise work over at TT now, and TT is a much larger site (exponentially) so it is a very good move and fit for me. The guys have been great and its fun working with Chris.
As to other solutions, there are several in the works that we have coming up that will be placed next to the 910 in our testing, so as reviews progress we will be able to provide more data.
I would like to get ahold of a R4 or R5 myself, been waiting for a reply on those...
