This overclock was done on a system running an Intel Core i7 3960X processor at 5.5GHz and the memory running at 2400MHz with CL10 timings. The entire platform was stable enough to run 3DMark11 with the performance preset and the score was P16472. Not a bad score at all and we bet both NVIDIA and EVGA are very happy to see this overclocking feat accomplished by k|ngp|n. k|ngp|n also teased in his forum that this might not be the max overclock!

That's apparently not even his maximum...

Man you must use tons of air-con plus lots of cooling, been up there several times and I must say its always sticky hot and humid.

Gotta have the split system pumping hard to keep that ambient air down :P

I am considering a rebuild soon with SB-E/IB + 670's + Hailea HC-500A/1000A.

Where abouts in Oz are you? (always good to see more Aussies on XS)

remember, this is Boost we're talking about....so personally, I'd like to see how often it hit the 2GHz mark. If it was for the majority of the benchmark, then count me impressed!

Most importantly is that the card wasn't zombied. Who knows how many bins it took to get one to do it, but it didn't need any modifications other than using the EVBot plugin for additional voltage.
