Is a 350 watt smartpower enough for an amd system?

i just do 1 cd rom, 1 harddisk, 1 radeon 9600 or 9800

im hoping it should be enough.. but i wanna be sure, people tell me to not buy a crap psu

.. don't underestimate the mighty power of a "little wattage" quality psu.

from my personal experiance .. the higher the PSU watts is better .. especially if you are planning on overclocking a Barton CPU .. they tend to consume ALOT of power when overclocked (somewhere in the area of 80 W ) for the CPU alone ... and from my trials with different PSU's ... i found that the higher the 3.3v+5v watts , the more you are able to overclock at lower Vcore, and ofcourse what they guys say is true , you are better off with a quality PSU than higher W generic PSU ...check this link out .. it might be of some help to you

P.S: if you plan on OC'ing, and can spare a little more money, you can get the SL450 for $16 more($58) or True430 for $24 more ($66) @ www.newegg.com

Id either go with A Sparkel 350w/400w or A Fortron Source 400w if you want to o/c at all or use the 9800
