View Full Version : safe voltage to not kille your cpu :D

anyone aware of what voltages should be safe?
I mean I'm now running a 2.4B @ around 1.8V is this still a safe value? (aircooled) maximum stressed for a few hours = 63°C.

I mean I don't need to work for 2 years :D maybe it doesn't even have to work for 1 year.

1.8v is starting to push it just a tiny bit. Intel's own specs state that their NWs shouldn't really be fed more than 1.75v

I don't think it's running at what it's supposed to be at 63*c.

That's the temp at which throttling kicks in .

nope trothling kicks in at +/- 65°c I was running superpi and monitored my temps. when my temperature came above +/- 65°c my superpi time began to get longer.

so I assume that it kicks in at 65°C

you could run MBM5 to see if its truly throttling.
