Ok, here's the thing:

When I receive my DFI NFII Ultra B board, what should I cool?

I'm thinking of putting a active Northbridge cooler on...
I'm getting this, I think...

Plus I'm gonna throw some of these on the mosfets...

BTW how many mosfets are there on the DFI, 5 or something...?

What else needs some extra cooling... Southbridge? Maybe this one...

Do I need to cool anything else? And what about those choices above, are they good enough?

Thanks guys...

should do fine.. though that NB cooler seems overkill.. mine stays pretty cool with an 80mm fan over the cpu mosfets(thus hitting the NB)

Those all appear to be good choices, I've personally used the South Pole nb cooler before and I found it to be excellent.

The rest should be satisfactory, but, you should know that those mosfet sinks will be far too large for the mosfets on the Infinity. Perhaps the smaller sinks that microcool sells would work.

Another thing to mention are the excessively inflated prices at FrozenCPU. They tend to over charge on everything they sell. :(

Don't forget the mosfets near the AGP slot, especially the one under the AGP lock lever. That one is especially hard to fit a heatsink to but gets toasty.

yeah.. i used one ramsink per 2 cpu mosfets, and then 1 sink per fet near the agp/dimm slots.

i also used 4 ramsinks on my SB, they make excellent contact and are taller than the stock SB sink. it does the job pretty well with some airflow.

Thanks guys,

So this for the mosfets?

Could someone send me a picture of the DFI board and mark the mosfets I should cool? Because I'm not so sure, which you are mentioning above...

EDIT: BTW I'm not gonna get it from frozencpu, I ain't got that , much cash... :D

The white boxes show the mosfets to be cooled.

Just what U was looking for. Thanks sjohnson!!!

But I'm getting a Lanparty rev. B board, so does this also apply to the DFI Lanparty NFII Ultra B?

I have heard something about PPL chips, that get really hot, and they could be a problem, when going for 270+ FSB... should I cool them also?

Or is this enough:
Active northbridge, passive southbridge, passive mosfets (the ones show on sjohnson's pic).

The LP and Infinity use the same mosfet placements.

Easiest way to see if any other chips need cooling is the finger test - do they feel warm or hot?

OK, I'll try it, when I get the board.

Now all that is left, is to wait... :)
