I'm going to be getting an Epox 4BDA and a P4 2.8b in the
next week or so. I'm also thinking of getting a 512mb stick
of corsair xms cas 2, which I think has winbond bh-6 chips
on it.

The 4BDA has a max of 2.8vdimm..... do you think that will
be all I'll need to push it as far as it can go? Or do the
winbond chips like high voltage?

(BTW, I'm looking to get as close as possible to 500 ddr)

Good question...hopefully someone more familiar w/ the Windbond chips can answer that for you. I'd guess not, but I don't think the P4 rigs are as hard on the memory as AMD rigs at the same FSB.

Also, does anyone know of a reliable reseller in the US that
carries ram with BH-5 on it?

Ok, looks like I won't be combining the 4bda with winbond then,
cuz it'll only deliver about 2.89 real world vdimm.....

Guess I'll stick to my old twinmos tcb3 maybe I'll get a
2.8b to go with it........

2.8 seems fine if you burn it in long enough. meomorx.com can special order the twinmos with -5 winbond. Call twinmos usa first and get the exact part # you want. I have 2 and they are great.

They will like 3.2V very much :) Do a voltmod and you will see you will get a lot higher!

KHX 2700 are not BH-5. They are usually hand picked 7.5s... !

KHX3000 2-2-2 (most of the time) and KHX3200 2-2-2 are BH-5.

I am running 3.0v into my BH-6 right now.. gonna drop 3.2v into it and burn it in really good before I had to put it in my 8RDA+ @ 2.9(?)v.

Definately not. BTW khx3000c2 are bh-6!!!
Liking high voltage as any bh-6... had corsair3200c2 too some time ago... bh-6 up to 3,4V on kx7-333r, could take more. But do cool them well ;)
