After reading this thread (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?279177-A-Review-of-the-New-Koolance-452X2-Revision-2.0-Reservoir) and getting little to no where with Koolance tech support I thought it was time to test some things for myself. I know... crazy concept. Disclaimer: this is far from a thorough test and I'm no Martin. ;)

I configured the RP-452X2 V2.0 three different ways - I, II, III. All configuration used the optional acrylic insert. Nothing but the pump location in the RP-452X2 was changed in the loop. The loop comprises a RP-452X2 V2.0, Koolance CPU-370, AC High Flow Meter, AC 360 Airplex Modularity rad, and six VL4N QDCs - 2 per tube run. I used an AQ5 Pro to read the AC High Flow Meter.

Configuration I

[POWER SOURCE]:[MIN L/H]/[MAX L/H]

PSU: 135.1/137.8
CTR-SPD24X2 24V @ 000%: 112.9/115.4
CTR-SPD24X2 24V @ 050%: 134.3/136.4
CTR-SPD24X2 24V @ 100%: 189.5/191.4

Configuration II

[POWER SOURCE]:[MIN L/H]/[MAX L/H]

PSU: 135.2/137.9
CTR-SPD24X2 24V @ 000%: 114.4/116.4
CTR-SPD24X2 24V @ 050%: 131.3/134.8
CTR-SPD24X2 24V @ 100%: Seemed unstable

Configuration III

http://www.thedigitalfoundry.com/images/XS/RP452X2_V2_LR.png

[POWER SOURCE]:[MIN L/H]/[MAX L/H]

PSU: 194.8/197
CTR-SPD24X2 24V @ 000%: 164.3/166.4
CTR-SPD24X2 24V @ 050%: 193.7/196.5
CTR-SPD24X2 24V @ 090%: ~265.0
CTR-SPD24X2 24V @ 100%: Not tested

What I find most interesting is that configuration I and II yielded essentially the same results. Accordingly to Koolance configuration II should be better. I think I'm going to go with configuration III for each loop (e.g., CPU loop and GPU loop). It's overkill but this is XS after all.
