Hey guys,

Do you think this setup can break the 20k barrier in 3DMark01?

DFI Lanparty Rev. B
Athlon XP1700+ JIUHB (SP-97 with 92mm Vantec Tornado 92mm)
2*512 Corsair PC2700LL (BH-6)
Powercolor Radeon 9700 Pro/9800 Pro
2*36GB WD Raptors in RAID0

I want to break the 20K barrier, but can I do that with a 9700 Pro??? Or do I need a 9800 Pro?

Don't have any rig right now :(

Just have that 1700+ capable of 2500mhz. hoping to get more out of it with the SP-97. I also have the RAM, but havent been able to push them with 3,2v... YET!!! :D

You can break 20k with your rig but itll take a bit of work..... my 20k score with a similar rig was set up as...

230x11
ram at 2-2-2-5 1:1
9700pro at 450/380 ( i think)

It's possible with the 9700pro, but you'll have to mod the cooling and possibly Vmod it too. look forward to hours of benching, crashes, benches, cursing, tweaking, benching, crashing, cursing, tweaking, benching etc etc etc:D

Good luck though, it can be done!

Just another quick question:

I have seen, that people with DFI boards have 2 additional timings, what should these be set to?

What I mean is, when you see one with NF7-S Rev. 2, it says 2-2-2-11, but when you see sigs. with DFI you see 2-2-2-11-X-X.

What's that all about?

i broke 20k with a 9800p and 2300mhz barton yesterday.

sooo, 2450 tbred, and very high clock 9700 should do it.

sif u need all that fancy hardware to break 20K

u can do it with a 9700 non pro clocked @ 430/330, as long u have decent 225+ FSB and 2.5GHz+

Thanks for the replies guys...

Now on to the next thing... :D

This review say, that you'll probably have to do a little bit of modding on the DFI board to reach 250+ MHz FSB.
Is this true? If yes, what do you guys recommend/use?

Thanks...
