Made more changes in the line up. its -31c at the edge of the cold plate.

My first use of the pelt, 156W 45mm on a 15A 12V power supply.

I think I need a 225

I also pulled the heat spreaders off my XMS3200C2 and sucessfully glued them on with thermal epoxy without getting into pins or twisting the ram stick as I wrestled with the heat spreaders. approx 85% frag tape coverage on the chip.

I glued on some moster heat sinks I got from Opp.

-13°C is still pretty impressive for a 156W pelt on a 3211Mhz proc imho. How's your water cooled?

You did not see my pics?

Woods 5.7cu freezer (http://fugger.netfirms.com/woody.JPG)

Installing the block on my old TH7-IIR (http://fugger.netfirms.com/installing.JPG)

The IT7 has bad reporting, the CPU is at -22c if my calculations are correct.

Those are nice temps for a 156W TEC. I wish I could get mine that cold, I don't have something to cool water down that effectively.

FUGGER how cold is your water?

I'm thinking about doing the same thing you did cause I was gonna buy an immersion cooler for my resevoir but for the same price I can get like a 75gal freezer.

The water is blow freezing, approx -5c when the pump has been running a few hours.

I can run sencond evap in my bucket and maintain my temps for extended periods of time.

I can hit -27c if I leave the pump off overnight.

My freezer was $157 from best buy.

It enables me to run at top speed indefinitely.

Lets say I leave it off overnight. Then I turn it on and start to bench. Will the water sustain at -27C since the capacity is so huge? The unit I'm gonna get would be like 50gal. I'm using a 226W pelt and a 80W pelt. What do you think?

Got any pics inside of the freezer? You just poured water in it?

What chip is that?

lol ton of questions.

With the pelt I loose about 1c per hour without second evap and balances out around -2c. I packed around the bucket with ice and as long as that ice doesnt melt I can maintain those temps.

OKay I meant if I left the freezer on overnight but turned off the comp.

The night before I know I am going to bench I will leave it off and let it drop to max.

It would take about 24hours on time to get back to -2c

I am using a aluminum 10gallon high school chili pot. I have that sitting on a bucket to raise the level some. I pack ice around my aluminum bucket and will drain some water out of my bucket to add ice.

My freezer is "seasoned" with nice think layers of ice built up over time. also helps maintain the BTU's required to keep edge of my bucket well below freezing all the time.

Several bags of would be handy, you can maintain lower temps longer.

Could just put water straight into the freezer and not use a pot or anything?

are u guys using silicon to insulate or just dieletric grease + neoprene?
i never supercooled a p4.. i think silione is just not needed.. sounds ok?

Dielectric grease in and around the socket and in the pin holes.

Neoprene around the block and hoses are insultaed too.
