I'm just getting an FM1 upgrade for my old PC (A6-3650 Llano cpu), what do you think would be some good/cheap memory for it? I bought 2x4gb of the Patriot Gamer2 DDR3 1600 memory on boxing day, but think it's probably garbage. Thoughts?

I bought 2x4Gb of G.Skill Sniper 1866 that was inexpensive, 1.5v and no problem running 1866 with A8-3850 but timings are kinda slow (cas9). Low latency 1600 feels snappier, Cas 8 or lower.

Hey thanks for the reply, the stuff I got is rated at 9-9-9-24 1.65v but I'll see if it can do better. I only paid $24 for 8 gigs so that's pretty cheap in my book!

edited for smartphone spelling

Not too bad, I got the gigabyte GA-A75m-UD2h board, wondering how it will perform compared to the others.

I'm running a g.skill ripjawsx 2x4gb 1866mhz kit on my A6/F1 machine. Runs great and I think it was only like $50
