Probably many of you heard about common problem with this card, which is indicated by d601 led. It's problem with core power supply. It's not my first hd4870 with this problem. Here is what I figured out till now:

- card is using 3 phase power supply for core, if each phase is working fine, then everything ok
- sometimes d601 led is red, but card is still working, according to vt1165 plugin in riva, only 1 or 2 phases are working, what causes crashing in 3d mode and higher temperatures on working phases
- when all 3 phases are dead, cards won't even post (3 beeps from speaker)
- for sure it's not caused by damaged balls under the chip, because I did reballing on one card and it didn't help at all

I can replace the chip, soldering a 100% working one, but I don't believe if it help. I have also all parts used in VRM from other cards, I can replace every part but I don't have no idea from what I should start. Any ideas?
