basically a 120Hz 21:10 version of current 30" displays.

and I wouldn't mind paying over $2000 for it (that I don't even have)

I'm currently rolling on what is basically is the best setup for quality and performance.
I have two DELL 2407WFP-HC on the sides and a Sony FW900 in the middle as main, with an ati 6970.

While I was at CES last year I saw vizio's 21:9 screen on display (http://www.vizio.com/news/cat/news) realising that even thought it's nearly 1/4 less resolution than eyefinity, true no bezels and no view obstruction on a single screen is the best possible experience, and you don't even need to turn your head.

I'm sick of seeing people spending $2000 on a gaming rig and $175 on a piece of :banana::banana::banana: panel. May I get some confirmation from this forum that there is high demand for a larger, responsive high-end gaming monitor? I hope I'm not the only one.

Cant help on your needs but I spent about $1200 on my recent upgrade from socket 775 and I am about to spend $180-210 on a LCD monitor. several 24" ASUS in that range. Feel free to vomit now. hehe :)

Man what your looking for is even nicer than what I have for a bdrm tv

How about an LED backlight IPS panel around 27 inches (or any size!), with 120hz? Can technology not produce this kind of stuff under $2000? It has to be possible, the problem is the market.

I don't think $2000 would be enough for those specs :-/ My guess would be closer to $6000 in todays market.
