Low memory and stuff

recently seen a number of low memory warnings...and a few errors on WCG betas

the rig is running WCG *6 threads, mining * 2 gpu's and MJ12.

Ok so I was being ambitious attempting this on 3Gig but the only other ram I have of similar volts and timing is a dual kit

Invite thoughts on combining an ocz 3*1GB kit with a 2*2GB kit of ripjaws.

It is all fitted just now and seems to work but I wonder what are the implications of this imbalance? would it be better to run dual channel and remove a 1Gig stick?

its tri channel, isnt it? you might try to use the 2*2 and the 1 gig if there arent enough slots, if there are just use 3*1 as the tri channel and put the other ones in slots that cant be used as tri channel (maybe read up on the possibility of ram slot selection for trichannel).

If it's a tri-channel board and you have uneven module allocations in the banks it will drop to dual channel at best or more likely single channel.
