View Full Version : How do you use shrouds with an XSPC RX series radiator?

Hello,

Due to the awkward screw threading used on my XSPC RX120 radiator, I'm left with a little bit of a dilemma. I'm trying to use a 25mm fan and a ~40mm shroud (the TFC Xtender) in pull on the radiator. However, I cannot find any screws of the required length and threading here in the UK. I've tried using the closest match tothe 6-32 threading, M3.5 screws. However, they will not fit. M3 is too small.

What are other people using with these radiators? A slight concern may also be that, due to (unsucessfully) using the finer pitched M3 screws, I may well have re-tapped the screw holes to an extent. :D

Thanks,

Odai.

I use modelfixings for 6-32 screws http://www.modelfixings.co.uk/unc_cap_screws.htm

Maybe use 3" and cut them down?
