:banana::banana::banana:. Need to do some quick calculations to see if these will be worth purchasing. Dang, I hate this hobby :)

They would have been, but they're gone.
The bitcoin forums eat these things up FAST.
I considered buying extras just to resell at cost to the XS family, but can't lay out that much capital.

Maybe there's still something in stock with another number?

Nice work don! I'm good for now need to recoup my investments as is still. Difficulty will being going up ~48% in 2 days btw.

Yup, that's the product number I purchased. Used the referral link, searched for HD 5830 and the Sapphire HD 5830 popped up. Ordered 3 more as that'll max out my available PCIe slots.

Judging by my back of envelope calculations my cards will pay themselves off in 2 weeks time. Increasing difficulty will extend that but I'd say Bitcoin will at least be around in 3 weeks :D

You think the value might go up with the difficulty? That seems reasonable and our 5830s might still be paid off in two weeks..

It should. It did before, but the recent drop is because it went up too high and everyone decided to dump their BTC asap.

Agreed. I'm holding on to all the BTC I've mined so far to dump them when the difficulty increases and the expected price increase accompanies it.
