View Full Version : Does it metter what PSU I buy?

Ok I want to buy me a new PSU looking at the 480W TRUE BLUE ANTEC one and yes I do want to mod it but does it really meter what brand I get if so post me brands that I should get instead of Antec cheers :)
Q- I mean fro the 3.3V rails and such

I've heard a lot of peeps lately talking a lot of good stuff about the fortron, and that it has adjustable pots already. I'm pretty sure this is the one they're all talking about.

I dont think there is much in it between the antec and the thermaltake.
The true controll lets you alter the voltages.. but its probably not a much better supply then the one you have chosen..
Given that selection the true blue is fine, and it should perform well.

Ok so if I get the 550W PSU from ANTEC does that mean I dont have to mod it?

If you get the true controll one it comes with a 5 1/4" bay that has ajusters for the 12 and 5v lines allready fitted..
