Help me upgrade

I have been out of the loop for a long time. My system is old and has not worked right for a month now. I have been running this setup:

EVGA 680i MB
E6600 CPU
8800 GTX
4G Dominator mem

I just bought a GTX 460 to upgrade this system and I got the OK from the wife to upgrade the rest for $400. Please advise what the best MB, CPU and Memory for gaming under $400? I have the rest of the stuff (case, PS 750, HD's etc.). Thanks in advance, I have to order right away because of work/travel.

what psu do u have.

i would go with a 2500k, a cheap 4GB kit of ddr3 and whatever MB u can get, i would think asrock pro3 or the biostar xt would be a good pick. or u could go am3, or used x58/p55

$80 on DDR
$100 on good Mobo
$100 CPU
are gone, i'm curious what you can get for 4 bills.
