View Full Version : New Amd 64 Rig

Hi, i want to buy a amd 64 rig but i don't know which motherboard to choose.
Cpu: amd 64 3200+ and Zalman CNPS 7000A (i hope it will work..)
ram :2x 256 hyperx pc3200 (bh5)
Mainbaord: Shuttle AN50R,Gigabyte GA-K8NNXP or Chaintech ZNF3-150?

either one of those motherboards will work great... but the most preferred one is the Shuttle at the time. But the chaintech is nice! thats what im getting :D

Also for the Cooler the Zalman 7000 is also great choice because thats whats im getting :D:D:D

I have the chaintech, but it scares me. I wouldnt buy another.

my first died in the middle of the night after running stable for 2 weeks, the rma arrived with dimm slot 1 dead. The third board lost a usb controler and the giga-nic died after a week.

All 3 were fast as hell, all 3 could run 225fsb with 2x512mb 3500L2 @ 2,3,2,7 2.9v a64 3200+

shall i buy one 512 hyperx bh5 or 2x256?
which will better perform?
i can get 512 pc3200 bh5 or 512 a-data bh5 , i can't decide... :(

HyperX 3200 non A 256 is good ยงยงยงยง, get that..

Yes I love this ram! It is the best bang for your buck and some of the best ram regardless.
