Rampage III Extreme Help

Ordered a water block for this board, took it apart to install the block and then sold my water stuff. So I was hoping one of you guys that has installed a block could tell me what size thermal pad is needed to get the board back to stock.

Mine had some horrible, yellow, thermal pads on it.

Off of the top of my head, I don't remember if they were 1/2 mm or 1 mm though.

I think they are still attached to the backside of the block (I normally try to keep them attached for reference purposes if I ever take a board back to air), so I'll take a look when I get home tonight and let you know.

Mine had that awful yellow stuff as well. I removed it which is why I need something to replace it. Please let me know what you find out. Thanks

It looks like 1mm on mine. That yellow stuff is pretty nasty

I do still have about half of the yellow thermal pads on the original sink.

They actually appear to be about 1.5mm thick, but they are much more "fluffy" / "soft" than the big sheet of thermal pad I bought a while ago (which is 1mm thick).

I checked it, and the 1mm "good" thermal pad that I have is making full contact on the chips (and getting an impression of the chips on it), so I'm guessing that the yellow stuff just gets compressed more, and 1mm should fit fine.
