Hoping for wisdom, I have/had a nice Dell CRT 21" (P1110) which is dying, flyback lines and corners fading. I can get it repaired but it will take a week at least. So I need another monitor anyway while that is in the shop (my backup is a Belinea 17" goldfish bowl, dont want to use that ever again!)

So I am looking for a good gamers panel. Reason I use a CRT in 2011 is low input lag and zero ghosting. But they are bulky and power hogs. I might be able to switch to panels if I could find a nice one, above all I hate ghosting.

I was thinking of trying Benq XL2410T (http://shop.benq.co.uk/store/benqeu/en_GB/pd/productID.218557700/pgm.76807200), its 2ms and 120Hz. I read a few glowing "user reviews" and frankly they sounded too good to be true, like viral marketing fakes. I am suspicious it is being oversold. All I want to know about is the real world functionality of the monitor.

Is it any good? Anything better for gaming out there?

Since you're in the UK and used to a CRT I'd consider Hazro if you can afford one. They're IPS and very good quality units.

This is 50% more than the one you linked to, but bigger and WAY better than a mere TN panel.

Hazro used to make 24" IPS displays too, you may still be able to find one.

I've been using a BenQ G2400WD for a few years. I'm not sure if you can still buy them but if you can find one I would definitely recommend it. I have never noticed any input lag or ghosting with it. Definitely the best gaming monitor I've ever owned.

Thanks for your input folks, I found this thread interesting which echoes the LG Asus theme and disses the Benq pretty badly for inconsistent display quality. The outcome of it all is a bit underwhelming for 120Hz in particular and LCD in general.

I think maybe I will just get my CRT fixed and stomach the Belinea for a week.
