INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER
I can't get into bios - WHY!???!?

You need to reset your BIOS, if that does not help you will need a floppy with the bios.bin file on it.

I've heard of people with Abit boards where the ROM chip isn't seated propperly.
Put your mobo on a flat surface and push a bit on the bios chip.
Or mark how it's seated, remove the chip and reseat it.
It helped out 9/10 people who had bios errors with a new ABit mobo.
If that fails I guess an RMA is the way to go

Have you tried pounding the "insert" key during boot-up, followed by delete on the next boot?

I had this same problem on my kx7-333r. My board was working, I put it back in it's box for a bit while I used my IT7. When I put the kx7-333r back on my desk to fire it up, I got the same error. God knows what happened. I didn't slam it around or anything. So yeah. I RMA'ed it and now it's fine.

I just RMA'ed my kx7 333r with the same symptoms. First it got slow, then had trouble finding devices, got worse and worse until I could not even get in BIOS.
