is the only difference between previous hf is the mounting mechnism? if so anywhere selling these mechnism separately

Hi!

There are two changes made to the EK-Supreme HF easy mount:
New “easy mount” mounting mechanism is replacing the old mounting system
Extra jet plates will not be enclosed in the delivery any more (these will still be able to purchase separately).
EK-Supreme HF easy mount will be equipped/preinstalled with jet plate #1, which has proven to be best performer.

The new mounting mechanism will be available to purchase separate shortly.

PSH1138: Or maybe not. rev2 (rounded > squared block shape) were called same almost in all shops. This time it's rev2 with only p#1+easy mount+MX4 instead of MX2 TIM .. hmm, maybe it will be reflected in name too. Doubtful for name to be of rev3 though, i'm guessing rather EK Supreme HF w. Easy Mount or something like that.

Is the new easy mount changes anything performance wise?
Don't know if there is an actually reason to replace the mounting in my current systems (I got rev 1 HF and the rev 2 full nickel).

Seems it will cost cost me 21.83 euro for two mountings including shipping. Nice price really :up:

The mounting is compatible with NEW Supreme HF (square) version.
We are repairing kit to be compatible with old version top of supreme HF too.

Does it change the backplate? My biggest issue with EK's mount has been it sits on top of the Intel back brace unlike other vendors. Also, why would this not work on any of the EK HF blocks, old or new?

The backplate stays the same.
The pressure is needed on the socket.

The mounting works only on the certain height of the mounting plate of the water block. As the initial version of the supreme HF had the mounting plate much higher than newer so it does not work...

Danfoss: you can buy new mounting kit separately. What Eddy has to do with your case?

Block itself is completely same. It will cool as good. Only mounting system is changed to one easier to use. But i still don't get how Eddy might be somehow at fault for releasing it after you have bought block. You had some business agreement regarding timing of their releases? Vendors should release new hardware strictly timed few days before you decide on upgrades or purchases?
About the ONLY way i could get your complaining if block at shop where you had bought it had clearly marked it as one with included new mounting sys yet sent you with old mounting sys. And even then it would be matter between you and that shop, not with Eddy or EK in any way.

I see retailers selling 1st ek supreme hf's with the easy mount kit. or at least they have old pictures. does this mean they found a way for it to work , or did EK? also are there any plans for it to work on Supreme LT or LTX?

also on a side note.

Can the new square tops be put on the old rounded one with the right mounting plates? or will the Oring not contact or something?
