So, I've made this ages ago but never really posted them anywhere and so on. So here is me trying to get feedback and maybe even get some manufacturer interested:p:

Let me know what you think and what can be improved and so on.

I know these aren't as nicely made and rendered as others but you should get the idea.

BTW, thanks to anyone and everyone who contributed to this page: http://scc.jezmckean.com/home

that nice -
but - my opinion is:

in the upper left side you should go with horozental PSU, maybe go for 2. there is a lot of space there.
and, another HDD cage is welcome.
by the sketch - is seems that there is a room for triple rad on the top, am i right?

maybe its just me - but i want to get the maximum options in my case.

Thanks for the input arkadur!

There really is a lot of space here that can be used in many different ways. I thought about another radiator up top which is easily doable. You can even fit a third quad there if you want to sacrifice some 5.25 bays. Adding another HDD cage is very easy as well. Maybe I'll make a new render with the changes just to show what's possible.

More ideas please:p:

Any way to have exhaust fans on the lower portion in the rear (and maybe the front) of the case? That way two 480 rads could be used as intake, rather than just a single 480.

Nice concept ! I would prefer a 420 radiator in the bottom and a 280mm rad in the front.

The case is 360mm wide, so if you want to have push/pull on 2 thick rads that leaves 140mm in both the front and the rear. 120mm fan in the front and rear are no problems. What about have it exit out the bottom?

Thank you!

With 420 you mean a radiator with 140mm fans? There is room for a double rad in the front on the motherboard side, however that means the fans and the 5.25 bays wouldn't be aligned.

Basically as long as the frame is made you can have the panels look like anything really. Well almost:)

Yes, a rad for 3x140mm fans in the bottom.

Well the case is only 510mm tall so I don't see a reason why it couldn't be made to hold 140mm fans as well. What I visualized when making this case I wanted it to be as modular as possible.

Like when ordered you could just choose fan size, inverted or normal ATX and so on. Basically now you can just flip the back panel and have it standard ATX so why not make it roomy enough for 140mm fans. Good idea.

I realized that my skills will never be good enough to build something like this of metal and having someone make one would cost a fortune. So I came up with the idea of making one myself but out of wood. I have very limited skills with any sorts of power tools but I will have access to a lot of them during the summer.

I changed the original plans a little as wood is thicker and this is how far I've come:

Any comments? Would be ideal if someone that has built cases out of wood or is otherwise just good at woodworking would chime in but generally I'm just looking for any comments that could improve the design.

I added some features which were suggested and kept some of my own ideas. I decided to make it less bulky but that added some height. I'm not really satisfied with the PSU placement but haven't come up with something better, at least that I've tested out in Sketchup.

I'm really hoping I could get a hold of a spare TJ07 motherboard tray so I could make it removable easily.

mountain mods sells motherboard trays also if you cannot find one.

Aah yea, of course. Will remember that one. I guess the shipping rates will be high though so a Europe based seller would be better.
