The mobo doesn't seem to like my Ram Twinmoss with Winbond (BH-5) which would do in my unmodded NF7-s 227FSB @ Cas2 @ 2.9v.

But in the Shuttle it wont even boot @ Cas2 at 200FSB, using up to 2.85v (undervolts from 2.9v) :( and I can't get up to 220FSB running 1.1 with it:( I have got the chip up to 2500MHz @1.65v running the Ram at 2700 speeds, so 208MHz 5,2,2,2.5 but I seem to be losing a lot of performance by not running them in sync and my memory scores suck:

http://shaun3210.users.btopenworld.com/benchies/mem-A64.jpg

With the CPU at default at 2GHz in sync and my 9800Pro at stock it scores just short of 20,000 in 3DMark01 but at 2500Mhz with the Ram at 208 Im only scoring 1500 points more

I don't want to VDimm mod it with the number of chips failing using to much VDimm.
There seem's to be no Ram that can run high FSB at tight timings at standard voltages
So any ideas guys??? Would I be better getting some PC4000 or faster and using slack timings???

TBH there must be something wrong with the board or the BIOS if your BH5s wont do 200MHz FSB and Cas 2.

Anyone else using BH5s on a NF3 board?

I have BH-5 ram with that board, but i havent got it to even turn on yet lol, will give you results once that happens.

I'm doing about 215fsb with a stick of 512mb BH5 Corsair 3500..... will switch to 512mb stick of Corsair 4000 next to see if there's a difference. I will post results when I have the time to mess with it. ;)
RMAed my Chaintech because it didn't want to boot with anything reliably.:(
These NF3 boards are still kinda rough.

tell me about it buddy, my shuttle board is picky about ram as well :(

in 1:1 mode it wont do CAS2 single stick above 200, but i change to 2.5-2-2-5 it's fine up to 240 (my ram's limit @ 2.9V)

both XMS3500 1.1 and HyperX 3500 (original BH5) does this...

even with 1 stick it can do 200 1:1, but not 210...

mine worked great for 43 min with mushkin bh5 215 @2.8 2-2-2-5

once i get my AN50R, i'll give the AN50R a good memory testing with the ram pile i have here :)

so I have to highly tell ya to dump that ram and get some pc3200 hyperx for $66 a stick :)

Good to know....I have 2 x 256 K HyperX in a different rig....looks like time to switch some ram around. ;)

Thanks so far guys :)

MickeyMouse I don't think I can get Hyperx in the UK :( But I have found a place that sell's Mushkin PC-3500 Level2 (2x 256Mb) with BH-5 and its expensive £149.00 ($267)
I would be willing to buy it, if it would give me a good chance of hitting 250+ 1:1, I would be willing to voltmod the board to say 3v on the VDimm, is 3v safe for 24/7 use???

hey eva, can you chuck up a pic of all that ram, been waiting to ask for a while on OCAU.

will be taking apart a few pcs to rebuild from, so try and get as much of the ram together for ram family pic :)

3v is safe for the RAM, I run 3.3v through my BH5s 24/7, whether it's safe for the A64 memory controller I don't know

I am cooling my RAM with copper heatspreaders and 2 60mm fans though as well.

Hmm I need those KHX3200 on my AN50R...

I have 2x 256MB hyperX 3500 A00 revision (BH5 or CH5 ?). They can do 220Mhz aggressive 2.85V on other boards, but this one won't go above 205. I'm running up to 235 with RAM @ PC2700 atm but I'm missing out on the +400~500 points with 1:1...

I have a HyperX3000 stick here, let me see how that goes.

Ugh, I have 1gb of Mushie Lvl II 3500 (everyday rig :)), and it won't even do rated timings :| Seems like when I use just 1 stick they are fine, but when I use both I can't get above 210 stable.

Guess I need to get some ram exclusively for benching :|

umm saffire according the manual it's not supposed to support 2xDS DDR400 sticks.. so i think that might be ur problem

Nah, I figured it out -- 2 of the dimms are bad, one is completely messed up, and the other doesn't go above 210 without problems. Tested this with each stick individually.

*sighs* wonder if I should RMA or wait till the 250 mobos come out.

i'm having difficulties as well. mushkin pc3200 promo BH5 (basically black level 2) won't do cas 2 at 215mhz but i know its good for 225 at least.

cas 2.5 however is fine.

seems to be alot of people in this thread having problems with mushkin. perhaps i should get a stick of khx like mickey has mentioned.
