When you say "correctly connected" did you rewire the USB cable to match the normal color scheme for your board? If so, that's possibly why.... as it won't be right at the other end of the cable. So... check that first. Make sure at each end of the cable that the colors run in the same order from left to right...

Your temps are fine....

Ignore all color codes. Wire the USB2 cable so that the colors are the same at each end and plug it straight on, so if goes red green white black at one end, make sure it goes red green white black at the other.

It could always be the cable which is bad, but have you contacted nVENTIV support ? That should be the first thing you do :)

It is extremely unlikely the problem is related to the chip controller. Have you tried turning the wire around? If there is a physical connection between the CC and the USB on the mainboard then Windows will give you an error when the wire is turned the wrong way around.

PM me the info if you like?

PS : do not contact the german nventiv addy about support. only nventiv.com handles support.
